Join us for a figure drawing workshop focusing on value and shading with artist and instructor Brian Flowers. The session will begin with an introduction to sighting and proportion, followed by a series of fast warm-up drawings from a live model. After a short break, learn how to identify basic shapes on the human form and apply value to your sketch, followed by a longer pose to create a three-dimensional drawing. No experience? No problem! This program is designed for figure drawing novices as well as active studio artists. Basic drawing supplies and boards will be available on a first-come, first-served basis—feel free to bring your own!
Please arrive promptly at 6 p.m. for introductions and refreshments.
Availability is limited to 15 guests, 21 or older.
